Sabancuy Carbon2Nature

Mangrove restoration in the Ejido Sabancuy, Laguna de Términos

The Sabancuy Project is a joint initiative between Carbon2Nature, ATEC, and the Ejido Sabancuy to restore 500 hectares of mangrove, with the potential to scale up to 1,500 hectares. The project aims to generate carbon credits under the Gold Standard while promoting biodiversity conservation in Laguna de Términos, internationally recognized as a Ramsar site for its exceptional ecological value. It also strengthens local communities through sustainable practices that ensure the conservation and responsible use of mangrove ecosystems.
